UBSC has an exciting trip planned this year when we travel to Whitefish, Montana (https://skiwhitefish.com) for a week of skiing and other outdoor activities. We will be staying at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake (https://lodgeatwhitefishlake.com), a four star lakeside resort. The lodge is located a 10 minute shuttle ride from the mountain and a 5 minute shuttle ride from downtown Whitefish. There is an indoor pool and hot tub and also an outdoor lakefront hot tub. There is an onsite spa ,an onsite restaurant and an onsite bar/pub. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine daily in lodge lobby! Glacier National Park is right next door – you might want to visit during time off from skiing! Non-Fliers or scenic travelers can also join the trip by taking the Amtrak Empire line that travels through Glacier National Park and right into Whitefish. Low crowds, affordability, and a delightful Western downtown with restaurants and shops awaits us. Snowshoeing and dogsledding are some of the activities offered in addition to skiing. Whitefish Resort and town are considered “a hidden gem”, still under the radar and not on any mega-passes!
