Gimmelwald 2026

Sunday River, Maine 2026

Our recent ski trip to Sunday River was a great success, thanks to the excellent coordination of Wanda Alderfer and Kelly Rippert and the enthusiasm of our members. Over the course of the trip, we enjoyed beautiful weather and great ski conditions, which made for memorable runs and plenty of time on the mountain. Travel to and from the resort was relaxing thanks to our mobile coach provider, giving everyone a chance to relax, take in the scenery, and settle in before hitting the slopes. Our lodging provided a comfortable home base, and the group especially enjoyed the on-premises restaurants, après‑ski gatherings and the pool/hot tub, which added to the camaraderie of the weekend. Highlights of the trip included a wide range of trails on the mountain, group activities, the "Igloo", meeting new members and first‑timers, all of which contributed to a fun and spirited atmosphere. Overall, the trip offered a great mix of skiing, socializing, and shared experiences. Member feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We look forward to building on this momentum for future club adventures.

Upper Bucks Ski Club Christmas Party

The club’s annual Christmas Party remains one of our most cherished traditions, bringing members together to celebrate the season with good food, laughter, and a healthy dose of friendly mischief. Each year we gather at a local restaurant for a festive dinner, enjoying the chance to slow down, reconnect, and share stories from the slopes and beyond.

The highlight, as always, is our White Elephant gift exchange. Members arrive armed with fun, quirky, or outright ridiculous gifts, and the real entertainment begins as each present is unwrapped, admired, and—more often than not—swiftly stolen. The mix of surprise, strategy, and good‑natured competition keeps everyone laughing, and no two years are ever the same.

This combination of great company, a hearty meal, and the playful chaos of the gift exchange makes the Christmas Party a signature event for the club—one that captures the camaraderie and lighthearted spirit that define our community
