Roller Derby 2026

A group of Upper Bucks Ski Club members enjoyed a fun evening of food, fellowship, and shared adventure with our friends from the North Penn Ski Club. The night began with a relaxed dinner at The East End restaurant, where members from both clubs had the chance to connect, swap ski stories, and enjoy great conversation.

After dinner, the group headed over to Inline 309 for an exciting Roller Derby match featuring two local teams. The fast‑paced action, energetic atmosphere, and enthusiastic crowd made for a memorable and entertaining night.

It was a great opportunity to strengthen friendships between our two clubs, and we look forward to more joint outings in the future.

Grindelwald 2026

Our group of 28 travelers made this Switzerland adventure especially memorable. We kicked things off in Lucerne, where we had a full day to explore the city’s beautiful waterfront, historic bridges, and inviting, walkable streets. It was the perfect start to our Swiss journey.

The next day, we headed to Grindelwald. On our first evening, we were welcomed with a lovely reception where local representatives shared everything we needed to know about the area and the many activities available.

Even though the weather was warmer than expected, the skiing was still very good. We also had the chance to try some fun and interesting activities, including curling, zip‑lining, and sledging — which is similar to sledding, except you use your feet to help steer on the snow. These experiences added a great mix of adventure and laughter to the trip.

Sunday River, Maine 2026

Our recent ski trip to Sunday River was a great success, thanks to the excellent coordination of Wanda Alderfer and Kelly Rippert and the enthusiasm of our members. Over the course of the trip, we enjoyed beautiful weather and great ski conditions, which made  for memorable runs and plenty of time on the mountain. Travel to and from the resort was relaxing thanks to our mobile coach provider, giving everyone a chance to relax, take in the scenery, and settle in before hitting the slopes. Our lodging provided a comfortable home base, and the group especially enjoyed the on-premises restaurants, après‑ski gatherings and the pool/hot tub, which added to the camaraderie of the weekend. Highlights of the trip included a wide range of trails on the mountain, group activities, the "Igloo", meeting new members and first‑timers, all of which contributed to a fun and spirited atmosphere. Overall, the trip offered a great mix of skiing, socializing, and shared experiences.  Member feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We look forward to building on this momentum for future club adventures.
